Some Great Events in 2023

Our Holiday Luncheon was held on December 7th, 2023, at our Clubhouse.  Members and guests enjoyed  spinach salad, veal piccata, garlic mashed potatoes and green beans for lunch, topped off with a chocolate brownie and hand made almond roca. Bingo and charades were the games of the day with interesting and fun prizes.  A raffle for some delightful seasonal gifts and gift cards was held.  The total net proceeds from the event resulted in a donation of $1,294 to Open Heart Kitchen. 

Knights of Columbus Toy Drive was our charity for the season.

Guests at the Holiday Luncheon brought wrapped gifts of all types for children in need.  The brightly colored packages filled the back of aCRV.  In total $686 in toys were collected.

There were tears in the eyes of KOC volunteers as the load was delivered on December 7th.

    GFWC National Day of Service - September 23, 2023

Our Club partnered with GFWC Dublin/San Ramon Women's Club, a group of students from Monte Vista Highschool and others to pack food for Kids Against Hunger. In total 53 volunteers paid $1,060 for ingredients and packed 14,688 nutritious meals in less than 2 hours for charities world wide.

         Poker Night  "Full House" - October 19, 2023

Members, guests and friends met at the Clubhouse at 6:00 PM  for a BBQ dinner and then played poker for for several hours. Authentic poker tables and dealers and wonderful western themed decor highlighted the event which raised $2,807.56 for OperationCare & Concern.  Prizes for the winners included donated items such as A's and Sharks Tickets, Surface Tablet, Xbox X, Galaxy Watch, and gift cards.

  Nearly New - Gently Used Sale May 21, 2023

12 clubmembers decluttered their storage units and homes donating $3,896 in items for the sale.  While our Sunday venture only netted $561 in cash for our charities, Hospice East Bay (Danville & Pleasant Hill) and the Thrift Station in Danville shared all the remaining donations 50%/50%.
